The Photography Club Kohima celebrated its 5th Anniversary coinciding with the World Photography Day celebration at Khonoma village on 19th August 2025.
Speaking on the occasion as the resource person, Pelevizo Meyase, a freelance photographer and filmmaker, shared his experiences in wildlife and landscape photography, including his work documenting the Clouded Leopard population survey in Nagaland while collaborating with Dr. Giri, an independent researcher.

Meanwhile, Lt. Col. Amit Shukla, PRO and Spokesperson, Ministry of Defence, Manipur, Nagaland, and Southern Arunachal Pradesh, said that Naga youth have great potential, especially in the hospitality sector, and further encouraged the younger generation to explore opportunities in other avenues as well.
Altogether, 18 members participated in the celebration, which featured a village tour and visits to paddy fields, exploring the area through the lens.
Later, Velukho Nakro was inducted as the President of the Photography Club Kohima, replacing Suchamayang Kichu for the next tenure.
