Sovima, 3 February (MTNews): In a thrilling turn of events at the Ranji Trophy 2023-2024, Nagaland displayed resilience and determination on Day 2 against Arunachal Pradesh. After a challenging Day 1 where they were reeling at 28 runs for the loss of 2 early wickets and trailing by 98 runs, Nagaland managed to make a remarkable comeback.

Contributions from key players such as Sedezhalie Rupreo (53 runs), Tahmeed Rahman (23 runs), Khrievitso Kense (19 runs), Jaganath (19 runs), and Jonathan (18 runs) steadied the ship for Nagaland. However, the standout performance came from Sumit Kumar, who played a brilliant inning, scoring 158 runs in 179 balls.

Nagaland eventually posted a total of 342 runs in 81.2 overs, losing all their wickets. Shekar Sihori led the Arunachal bowling attack with a notable 3-wicket haul.
