Mokokchung, February 4 (MTNews): A reception program for Imkong L. Imchen, Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) 28-Koridang Assembly Constituency candidate was held at his residence in Mokokchung’s Mongsenbai ward on Saturday.
When asked about his recent change in political parties in a brief interview with media persons, he stated that as a public servant in a democracy, in order to deliver goods to the people, “you need to be on the winning side,” adding that BJP is responding positively to the needs and requirements of the people nationally. He also said that, as a political party member, it is imperative that every member should be a good team player so that collectively one can deliver the goods to the people.
He also said that he admired the dynamic leadership quality exhibited by Prime Minister Narendra Modi adding that it was also one of the compelling factors in him joining the BJP.
