Kohima, 1 March (MTNews):  On the final day of the fourth session of the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly, held on 1 March  2024, resolutions concerning the regularization of employees in Group A, B, C, and D posts appointed prior to 6 June 2016 was passed. These resolutions aimed to address the employment security and livelihood concerns of government employees in the state.

The resolution outlined a policy to conduct a one-time exercise for the regularization of Group A and B employees appointed on a contractual or ad-hoc basis before 6 June 2016, and who have completed ten years of service. The resolution proposes conducting a suitability test to assess their eligibility for regularization against the posts they currently occupy, provided they meet all the criteria laid down in the policy.

Similarly, the resolutions pertaining to the regularization of employees in Group C and D posts highlight the state’s obligation to ensure economic security and protect the livelihoods of its workforce.

It proposes a one-time exercise for the regularization of Group C and D employees appointed on a contractual or ad-hoc basis before 6 June 2016, and who have completed ten years of service.

The resolution suggests conducting a suitability test to determine their eligibility for regularization against their current positions, subject to fulfilling all criteria outlined in the policy.
