Mokokchung, 31 May (MTNews): The Salangtem Ward Yimden, following a coordination meeting with educational establishments within the ward jurisdiction, has resolved to prohibit the sale of all tobacco products to individuals below the age of 18 within the Ward’s jurisdiction. The ward authority also resolved to maintain vigilance on enforcing this ban.
Additionally, in adherence to a government notification, shops situated within 100 meters of educational institutions in the Ward have been directed to refrain from selling any form of tobacco products.
It was emphasized that strict action will be taken against defaulters in accordance with the existing laws and regulations of Salangtem Ward Yimden.
