The Salangtem Youth Union, under the aegis of the Mokokchung District Football Association, has taken a bold step to inspire the youth of today by organizing the 1st Open Futsal Tournament. This exciting tournament aims to showcase the power of focus and endurance in overcoming challenges and achieving great success.
Scheduled to take place from 20 to 22 June, the tournament will be held at the Mojabi Turf located at Salangtem Ward, Mokokchung. With the theme “Focus to Endure,” the Salangtem Youth Union aims to convey a powerful message to participants and spectators alike, emphasizing the importance of concentration and determination in achieving one’s goals.
The union stated, “With focus, everyone can endure any circumstance and reach across any distance. It is an act of Endurance to carry the thickest of emotions and yet remain expansive in joy.” By organizing this tournament, the Salangtem Youth Union aims to instill these values in the participating teams and youths of this day.
The organizers have announced a significant cash prize of Rs 60,000 for the champion team, Rs 40,000 for the runner-up, and Rs 10,000 for the third-place team.
