Model Christian College, Kohima, organised the sixth edition of its Inter-Collegiate Talent Hunt, Phoenix 2026, on August 29 under the theme “Eclectic Effervescent Effulgent”. The event provided college students a platform to showcase creativity, innovation and artistic expression, with a total cash prize of Rs 45,000.

The programme began with an invocation by S.P. Francis, Managing Director, followed by a curtain-raiser speech by Linoka K. Achumi, Miss Nagaland 2025. Judges included Ruopfuzhano Whiso, Miss Universe India 4th Runner-up, model, host and content creator; Sürhüveyi Tetseo (LRSM), Managing Director of De Operettas Music Institute, Kohima; and Noune Khamo, freelance performer, singer and educator.

More than 20 participants from colleges in Kohima, Chümoukedima and Dimapur competed in dance, solo performance, blindfold piano, band, poetry declamation and sign language interpretation.

Sidewalk from St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Jakhama, won first position and Rs 20,000. Tri-Ds of Kohima College secured second with Rs 15,000, while Kilini P. Zhimo of Model Christian College placed third with Rs 10,000.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Event Coordinator Thethem Hangsing.
