At the invitation of the Ministry of Women & Child Development, Government of India, representatives from three Missions under the Social Welfare Department, Government of Nagaland—Mission Shakti, Mission Vatsalya, and Mission Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0—attended the 78th Independence Day Ceremony at the Red Fort, Delhi, on August 15, 2024, as special guests.

Under Mission Vatsalya, the District Child Protection Unit, the special guests were Ruzonuo Rita Rutsa, District Child Protection Officer (DCPO) from Zunheboto, and Kito Ayemi, Protection Officer, Institutional Care, from Zunheboto. For Mission Shakti, the Hub for Empowerment of Women, the special guests were Moamenla Longkumer, District Mission Coordinator (DMC) from Mokokchung, and Nukshinaro, Gender Specialist at the District Hub for Empowerment of Women, Mokokchung. From Mission Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0, the special guests included Joyce Murry, Anganwadi Worker (AWW) from Diphupar, BICDS, Dimapur, Rural Nagaland, and Apele Chishi, Companion (Sister-in-law) from Diphupar B.

Additionally, on August 14, 2024, the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, honored the DCPO Zunheboto, District Mission Coordinator, DHEW Mokokchung, and AWW Dimapur Rural for their outstanding performance and achievements in their respective schemes at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
