Mokokchung, 06 April (MTNews): The Power Department has informed that vegetation clearance for 132kV and 66kV transmission lines under Transmission Division Mokokchung is scheduled from 10 April to 15 May during which there will be total shutdown of power from 8:00 AM to 500 PM daily in order to facilitate smooth execution of the works.
“This exercise is necessitated with the aim to provide stable power supply and avoid unwarranted disruption of supply,” the Executive Engineer, Transmission Division, Mokokchung said in a press release.
The department has appealed to all public in the affected areas to extend cooperation and bear the inconvenience during the shutdown period.
