Tuensang, 8 May (MTNews): Deputy Commissioner Tuensang, Nokchasashi graced the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Tuensang Silver Jubilee on 8 May at DIET Auditorium Tuensang.

Speaking on the occasion, he thanked and congratulated the teaching faculty and pioneers of the institution for attaining the milestone. He said a Jubilee is “a day of celebration of achievement and also a time of devotion and commitment to our work to reevaluate and draw a road map for the action plan for the future.”

 

The DC also said the state has a shortage of trained and qualified teachers which hampers the quality of the education system, and encouraged the students to adjust to the changing times and envision the skill and knowledge which will benefit the society as a whole. He also highlighted the New Education Policy 2020 of the Government.

 

At the function, a keynote address from Limawabang Jamir, VP DIET, a special number by Jubilee Choir, a special prayer for DIET by Akhang Pastor Unit Baptist Church 3rd NAP, and a vote of thanks was delivered by K Hekamla, Lecturer, DIET. The program was chaired by Bendanglemla Chang, Lecturer, DIET Tuensang.
