A two-day Mahila Arogya Samiti (MAS) training under NUHM was conducted on 13 and 14 May 2025 at the Conference Hall of the Chief Medical Officer, Mokokchung.

During a brief inaugural programme, Dr. Takosunep, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Mokokchung, lauded the MAS members for their support and contribution towards health services. He also encouraged the MAS members to continue working for the community.
Sentirenla Longchar, Consultant (NUHM), emphasized the need for MAS to promote community participation in health planning, implementation, and monitoring of health programmes. She also discussed the importance of maintaining records, as well as the management and accounting of untied funds.
Watisenla Jamir, DCM, highlighted the responsibilities of key MAS members, understanding vulnerability, and community health planning.
Imnasenla Imchen, GNM, UPHC Yimyu, trained the MAS members on various determinants of health and their importance, monitoring, and facilitating access to essential public services and community monitoring of health care services.

A total of 45 MAS members attended the training.
