Following a directive order signed by Lanuwati Jamir, CAO of Ao Region, NSCN-IM where he directed the 30 Alongtaki AC voters not to vote in favor of Temjen Imna Along in the upcoming election while threatening to take stern action on those failing to abide, the Tzürangkong Senso Mungdang, Tzürangkong Naga Youth Front and Tzürangkong Watsü Mungdang Telungjem held a general meeting on Thursday in Chungtiayimsen where they made two resolutions.
The organizations agreed at the meeting to reject the February 21 directive issued by CAO Ao Region NSCN-IM, stating that it is unacceptable to the people of Tzürangkong Senso.
The three organizations also passed a resolution to “fully support” the BJP candidate Temjen Imna Along from 30 Alongtaki AC in the upcoming 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly election.
NSCN-IM clarifies
The NSCN-IM through its MIP clarified that the said directive order signed by Lanuwati Jamir, CAO of Ao Region in the matter of Temjen Imna Along’s candidature in the ensuing Nagaland state assembly election was issued by the CAO of his own accord and that there is no written order from the Ministry of Kilo Affairs.
“The so-called directive order that has gone viral in the social media platforms and confusion thus created is regretted,” the NSCN-IM said.
CAO arrested
Meanwhile, according to reports, the CAO of Ao Region, NSCN-IM, Lanuwati Jamir was picked up by the Assam Rifles on Wednesday at Longtho and is being kept under police custody.
