Murder Case: Chungtia Students’ Union issues memorandum

Mokokchung, February 23 (MTNews): The Chungtia Students’ Union (CSU) on Thursday submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung demanding justice for Imkongjeba Kichu.

 

The Chungtia Students’ Union organized a candlelight vigil on Thursday night for the deceased Lt. Imkongjeba Kichu at Sabangya Compound, Chungtia.

 

 

CSU President Mangkoneken Ajem and General Secretary Chubakatila Kichu stated in the memorandum that the coldblooded murder of an innocent son has caused great unrest among the entire villagers and particularly to the bereaved family and requested the authority to investigate ‘without any bias’ and deliver justice to the victim’s family at the earliest.

 

OKM condoles 

 

The Ongpangkong Students’ Conference (OKM) has condemned the alleged murder of Imkongjeba Kichu from Chungtia Village, Mokokchung.

 

“The OKM strongly condemn the inhuman act of the criminals involved and urge upon the law enforcing authority to thoroughly investigate the matter with full dedication and nab the culprits at the earliest and be punished as per the law of the land,” the OKM stated on Thursday.

 

“The Ongpangkong Students’ Conference (OKM) deeply mourns and shares our deepest condolences over the loss of Lt. Imkongjeba Kichu from Chungtia Village, Mokokchung, who was brutally murdered by unknown miscreants,” it added. The OKM also expressed their condolences to the bereaved family, and prayed that God may provide consolation to them during this difficult time.

 

 

Ongpangkong Mungdang condemns

 

The Ongpangkong Mungdang while strongly condemning the alleged murder of one of its citizens in contravention of Ao customs has demanded that the competent authorities and custodians of customary law apprehend the perpetrators of the crime and award befitting punishment.

 

Further, the Ongpangkong Mungdang has informed all the Ongpangkong village elders and citizens to remain vigilant in order to deter underground elements from suppressing the universal suffrage in view of the ensuing elections.

 

 

AKM expresses shock, cautions saboteurs

 

Expressing shock and grief at the news of the alleged assault and murder of Imkongjeba Kichu of Chungtia village, the Ao Kaketshir Mungdang (AKM) on Thursday condemned the heartless and coldblooded crime committed by the cruel murderers.

 

Further, AKM demanded that the law enforcing agencies bring to book the criminals and award befitting punishment as per the law of the land.

 

AKM further cautioned that no individual, group or right thinking citizen should sabotage the investigation and legal proceedings of the case and that anyone found interfering will be dealt with till the end.

 

AKM also conveyed its condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that God grant them divine grace and solace.
