Wokha, 29 November (MTNews): The Wokha District Football Association (WDFA) held a consultative meeting with the various range sports associations in the district on 27 November 2023 at Old Riphyim Baptist Church Building, Wokha.
N Samuel Ezung in his presidential address thanked all attendees and emphasized on the need and importance to work together to promote and develop the game of football in the district.
K Edward Ngullie, Advisor WDFA and Treasurer, Nagaland Football Association (NFA) shared the objective of the meeting, highlighted the upcoming activities of NFA and shared at length on registration of clubs and players. He also shared the association’s upcoming program for development of referees and coaches in the district.
Ngullie encouraged the ranges to register their football tournaments and seek recognition of their tournament with the district association.
Er Yanthanshan Yanthan, Chairman of the Wokha District Football Referee Board (WDFRB) appraised the gathering on the formation, aims and objectives and also the guidelines set by the Board for the smooth conduct of football matches in the district.
The meeting was chaired by Zubenthung Ovung, General Secretary WDFA and a short technical insight report was shared byPhyochamo Humtsoe, Secretary WDFRB.
Englan RSA, Niro RSA, Wozhüro RSA, LLRSA, Wokha Circle, Chukidong RSA, Sanis RSA, and Doyang LOU attended the meeting.
