Mokokchung, 22 March (MTNews): President of the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC), Supongmeren Jamir, while responding to a query about the Naga People’s Front (NPF) aligning with the NDPP-BJP stated that workers and supporters of the NPF will vote for secularism in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections 2024.

He observed that although the two elected NPF members have joined the ‘oppositionless PDA,’ closely associated with the RSS-BJP, he asserted that the NPF officials have not abandoned secularism.

“In a way, they have betrayed their members and the public who elected them,” he remarked.

The Nagaland state Congress president also spoke about how the Eastern Nagaland People’s Organization (ENPO) has contributed and sacrificed equally. Despite this, he said they have been deprived of their rights for development. He, therefore, asserted that ENPO is agitating for their “deserved right.”
