In commemoration of World Earth Day, Nayi Kiran Trust, in collaboration with the Nokpu Students’ Conference supported by Nokpu & Saring Village Council organised a community-wide awareness programme. The event was generously sponsored by Nayi Kiran Trust and was observed across Nokpu and Saringyim villages, Mokokchung.

As part of the celebration, informative posters promoting wildlife and environment conservation were displayed along the route connecting the two villages, drawing attention to the urgent need to protect wildlife and preserve the natural environment.

The programme was chaired by Moalemba and began with an invocation of blessings by Nukchala Longchar Women Pastor of SBA. Lanusungkum Longchar President of Nayi Kiran Trust, along with other community leaders, delivered insightful speeches underscoring the importance of wildlife and environment conservation and the collective responsibility of communities in ensuring a sustainable future.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by the Nokpu Village Council Chairman Sashimeren for initiating such events at a crucial time and especially acknowledged Nayi Kiran Trust for sponsoring and supporting the programme. This was followed by a benediction prayer marking a thoughtful and graceful end to the gathering.
