The 2nd North East Cricket Development Council (NECDC) Senior Men’s Interstate Friendship Tournament 2024 is set to culminate in an exciting final match between Nagaland and Manipur on 28 September at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima from 9:00 am onwards. This marks the second time these two teams will face each other in the tournament, with both teams determined to claim the title.
The tournament, which has showcased exceptional cricket talent from the Northeast, promises a thrilling conclusion as two of the strongest teams meet in the final. It may be recalled that the two sides also met in the final of the last edition of the tournament in which Nagaland won by 19 runs.
KT Sukhalu, IAS (Rtd.), MLA and Advisor, Food & Civil Supply & Legal Metrology, Govt of Nagaland & Patron, Nagaland Cricket Association, will be gracing the final match and the closing ceremony as the Special Guest. He will preside over the Prize Distribution Ceremony following the match.
Adding to the excitement, Moko Koza will perform a special song during the closing ceremony. Tomorrow also marks the final day of CricFest, featuring a full schedule of engaging cricket activities and entertainment for attendees of all ages.
Closing Ceremony & Prize Distribution
After the match, there will be a formal Prize Distribution Ceremony to honour the winners, top performers, and participants of this year’s tournament.
