Three people were injured in a drone bomb attack in Manipur’s Senjam Chirang today, Manipur Police said in a statement on X. Security forces are in the area to repel the attack, according to the police. The fresh attack comes a day after several drones, allegedly launched by ‘suspected Kuki insurgents,’ dropped bombs in Koutruk village, Imphal West district.

In today’s attack at Senjam Chirang, also in Imphal West district, two bombs were dropped by drones at 6:20 PM. Yesterday, two people were killed and nine others, including a 12-year-old girl, were injured in firing and drone attacks by suspected Kuki insurgents. The injured girl is the daughter of one of the two victims who was shot in the head.
Security forces launched a joint combing operation today in the areas between Kuki-dominated Kangpokpi and Meitei-dominated Imphal West district, sources said. Search operations and area domination were conducted in the fringe and vulnerable areas of hill and valley districts, during which a drone was recovered from Kharam Vaiphei in Kangpokpi district, Manipur Police reported.
