Mokokchung, August 2 (MTNews): Nagaland Minister of PWD (Housing & Mechanical), Tongpang Ozukum inaugurated the PWD Rental Housing at Marepkong ward, Mokokchung on August 2.
The rental housing project is funded by the Housing and Urban Development Corporation Ltd (HUDCO) and the aim of the project is to accommodate government officers and staff on rental and also to generate department revenue. Technical report was given by Er. Nungsang Jamir, Executive Engineer PWD (H) Mokokchung Division.
Speaking at the inauguration, Ozukum congratulated the contractor for timely completion of the work and appreciated the Executive Engineer PWD Mokokchung for constant monitoring and supervision of the project, for which the minister said this achievement was another feather in the cap of the department. He also thanked the landowner for their free donation of land for this project, and their far sighted scope for development. He also expected the same to be emulated by other landowners around Mokokchung town for greater development. The Minister also called upon the department to have a comprehensive plan on how to manage this rent house properly.
The program was conducted by Er. Taribilong SDO PWD (H) Mokokchung. Dedicatory prayer was pronounced by S. Mar Pastor, Marepkong Baptist Church. Short speech was delivered by Chief Engineer Housing Nagaland Er. Tiameren, and vote of thanks pronounced by Er. Limadangit Walling, EE (Design) Chief Engineer Office, Nagaland, Kohima.
