Mokokchung, September 27 (MTNews): The Yimkhiung Tribal Council (YTC) had in a joint consultative meeting with all the Yimkhiung Frontal Organizations on September 27, 2022 at Shamator Headquarter have resolved to abstain from the forthcoming Nagaland State General Election and any election process of State and Central in adherence to the 26th August 2022 ENPO resolution for separate statehood demand of “Frontier Nagaland”.
According to a press note, the joint meeting also resolved to completely ban any election campaign by political leaders, political party workers and candidature declaration Program in any form by individual and groups or parties under Yimkhiung Areas.
Further, the meeting also endorsed its fullest support to the decision of Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) to organize a mass public Walkathon on 7 October 2022 to show solidarity for the Frontier Nagaland Statehood demand.
The meeting also strongly resolved that failing to hearken upon the notification, the YTC will initiate befitting action against the political leaders, party workers, groups and individual according to its resolutions and constitution, for the common interest of Eastern Nagaland.
