Mokokchung, October 23 (MTNews): The Governor of Nagaland, Prof. Jagdish Mukhi, has extended Diwali greetings to the people of Nagaland on Sunday.
“This festival signifies victory of light over darkness, good over evil, truth over falsehood and knowledge over ignorance,” the Governor said in his greetings.
He said Diwali is a festival of lights and decorating homes with colours mark the celebrations. “It gives an opportunity for the people to spend time together and foster good relationships in the family, workplace and society,” he added.
“On this auspicious occasion, may the spirit of the festival guide us from darkness to light. May you all be blessed with good health, joy and prosperity,” he conveyed.
Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio also extended greetings to all who are celebrating Diwali. “May the festival of lights which celebrates the victory of good over evil and light over darkness brighten our lives and strengthen bonds. I urge everyone to celebrate it responsibly and to stay safe,” he conveyed.
