The GPRN/NSCN, under the “dynamic leadership of President Maj (Retd.) RM Lotha and Ato Kilonser N Kitovi Zhimomi,” has announced the induction of several national workers from the Chang Region into its fold.

According to a statement from its MIP, these members, representing both the Civil and Army wings, have “taken a bold step into the mainstream” by severing ties with the GPRN/NSCN (Unification) group previously led by President Gen (Retd) MB Neokpao and Ato Kilonser Alezo Venuh.

Describing their shift as a “significant moment in our journey toward unity and progress,” the GPRN/NSCN on Sunday unveiled the names of the members who have joined the organization following what it termed a decisive separation on May 4, 2025.

The Army Wing inductees are: Lieutenant Col Nukshi Chang; Major Ajong Chang; Captain Kaimang Chang; Captain Ato Chang; Sergeant Maj Pesu Chang; and Lieutenant Chollen Chang.

From the Civil Wing: Dy Kilonser (RAO) Bongei Chang; Dy Kilonser Y Mangko Chang; Leacy Tongpang Chang; Leacy C Laba Chang; Leacy Y Sipong Chang; Leacy Imti Choba Chang; and Leacy AY Sipong Chang
According to the statement, the national workers “openly expressed their dissatisfaction with their current leadership” and said the “long-standing Naga struggle has reached a critical juncture.” The statement further said that “there is no viable future under their present leadership.”

“With unwavering determination, they are resolutely committed to supporting true and effective leaders under the GPRN/NSCN led by President Maj (Retd.) R.M. Lotha and Ato Kilonser N. Kitovi Zhimomi, who can guide Nagas towards a brighter future,” the statement read.

The national workers also reaffirmed their allegiance to the GPRN/NSCN leadership and “declared loyalty and commitment to strengthen the GPRN/NSCN and make committed effort to solidify the hard-earned ‘Agreed Position’ that is poised for finalization between the Nagas and the Government of India.”

The organization warmly welcomed the new entrants, stating: “We appreciate your unwavering trust in our leaders as we are pursuing a timely and successful Naga Solution.”
