The Marepkong Youth Association, Mokokchung will mark its Silver Jubilee, commemorating 25 years of service, on December 29, 2025, at Marepkong Asaya Lenden. The celebration will reflect on the association’s journey and contributions to the community since its formation.
The Silver Jubilee program will be held under the theme “Greater Heights (Marlen Wasang).” Imlikokba Longkumer, Assistant Development Commissioner, Department of Planning and Transformation, Government of Nagaland, will attend the program as the chief guest. Akok Walling will deliver the Jubilee theme address.
As part of the celebrations, a Jubilee Extravaganza will be organized in the evening at 6 pm. Mrs. Wangshikokla, Advocate and Public Prosecutor, N.F. Railway, will be present as the guest of honour. The Extravaganza will feature performances by guest artists Hopong Naga and Tiameren Aier, along with cultural and musical presentations by ward members and local artistes.
The Marepkong Youth Association has invited all ward members, former members who were once associated with the ward, well wishers, and residents of Mokokchung to attend the Silver Jubilee celebrations. The association has extended a special invitation to those who have contributed to the ward in the past to be part of the occasion.
According to the association, the Silver Jubilee is not only a milestone marking 25 years of youth service and commitment but also an opportunity to reconnect with former members, strengthen community ties, and renew a shared sense of purpose. The event aims to bring together people from different walks of life to reflect on past efforts and look ahead to continued community engagement in the years to come.
