Representing The Combat Academy Nagaland and Kaizen MMA Bangalore, Lanamai was pushed to the limit across three gruelling rounds. Shyamanand, widely regarded as one of the division’s top contenders, tested Lanamai throughout, but the Naga fighter’s composure and counter-attacking earned him the nod on two of the three judges’ scorecards.

The win has lifted Lanamai’s professional record to 5-1 and marked his third consecutive victory, further solidifying his rise in India’s competitive featherweight ranks.

Matrix Fight Night (MFN), India’s leading MMA promotion founded by Tiger Shroff, Ayesha Shroff, and Krishna Shroff, has held 17 events across India and abroad since its debut in Mumbai on March 12, 2019, generating over 100 million digital impressions.
