The Tongdentsüyong Youth Fellowship (TYF), under the MTBA Youth Ministry, organised a five-day free tuition camp from July 20 to 24 at the Tongdentsüyong Youth Fellowship Church under the theme, “Mission through Education.”
The initiative, first launched by the Crusader Club of TYF in 2016, was revived this year as part of the fellowship’s observance of “Mission through Education Month” and as a practical expression of Christian service.
The camp was conducted by members of the Youth Fellowship, including Music Club leaders, hospitality leaders, executive members and office bearers. They provided academic support to students in subjects such as Ao, Mathematics, Science, Hindi and Grammar, while also assisting them with homework, project work and clearing academic doubts. The programme also offered youth volunteers an opportunity to gain experience in teaching and community service.
A total of eight students from the community participated in the camp and benefited from the sessions.
The fellowship said it believes God has blessed its youth with different gifts and talents and that using those abilities to serve others is a meaningful way of glorifying Him.
“As Christians, we are called to give and serve without expecting anything in return,” the fellowship stated, adding that it hopes to continue the initiative in the coming years to encourage young learners and serve the community through education.
