The Good Shepherd High School Alumni Association, in collaboration with the school authorities, held a meeting on August 1 to constitute its organisational structure and begin preparations for the school’s Silver Jubilee celebration in 2027.
The meeting was jointly chaired by Headmaster T.V. Thomas and Longtili C. Sangtam. Members reviewed the resolutions of previous meetings before unanimously constituting office bearers and committees to oversee the planning of the event.
Longtili C. Sangtam was elected president of the Alumni Association, with Chumtiba S. Sangtam as vice president, Tronglise Sangtam as general secretary and Hopila as assistant general secretary. Separate finance, media and Silver Jubilee committees were also formed.
The house tentatively decided to hold the Silver Jubilee celebration in October 2027, preferably during the Durga Puja holidays, to facilitate the participation of alumni, students and well-wishers. The exact dates and programme schedule will be finalised at a later meeting.
Calling for collective support, Headmaster T.V. Thomas urged all alumni to “wholeheartedly support and actively participate” in making the Silver Jubilee celebration a grand success.
