Mon Police have busted an inter-state drug trafficking network and seized approximately 800 grams of heroin, locally known as “Shan Flower,” in a major anti-drug operation.

According to police, the consignment was being transported from Mon to Sonari in Assam and was allegedly intended for further transportation to Dimapur. Three persons identified as Nokteih, Poungying and Pulei were arrested for their alleged involvement in sending the consignment.
Based on the investigation, a joint operation with Charaideo Police led to the arrest of alleged receiver Md. Taher Hussain near Sonari. With assistance from Dimapur Police Commissionerate, two women, D. Robila Roziine and Kaili Aye, were subsequently arrested for allegedly receiving the consignment in Dimapur.
Police said the operation lasted nearly three days and traced the alleged network from Mon to Sonari and Dimapur. Further investigation is underway.
