The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) has consistently remained supportive of the aspirations and legitimate concerns addressed through the Frontier Nagaland Territorial Authority (FNTA) process since the signing of the Tripartite Agreement.
The recent approval of the FNTA Bill by the Nagaland Legislative Assembly during its latest session is therefore a significant and welcome development. I, on behalf of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), wholeheartedly welcome and support this important legislative step.
The signing of the Tripartite Agreement represented a commitment by the stakeholders to address the longstanding developmental aspirations of the people of Eastern Nagaland.
The legislative progress now achieved should be viewed in the same spirit of peace, partnership, inclusiveness and accelerated development.
The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) firmly believes that development must reach every region and every section of society, particularly areas that have historically faced geographical, infrastructural and socio-economic challenges.
The approval of the FNTA Bill is an important step towards translating the commitments made under the Tripartite Agreement into an effective institutional mechanism for development and empowerment. We hope that the subsequent processes will be carried forward with sincerity, mutual trust and a clear focus on the welfare of the people.
I also appeal to all stakeholders to maintain unity, peace and constructive dialogue so that the aspirations associated with the FNTA framework are fulfilled in a transparent, effective and time-bound manner.
