Supporters organize thanksgiving program for Dr. Chumben Murry
Wokha Village well-wishers and supporters of Dr. ChumbenMurry on Saturday organized a thanksgiving cum picnic program for Dr. Chumben Murry Advisor, Law and Justice, and Chairman DPDB Wokha, at Hammock Resort Wokha.
A press release informed that, while speaking at the program, Murry advocated democratic process and peace in the 38 Assembly Constituency and assured positive progress with inclusiveness. He spoke of the uplift of his village, where he called his supporters to come together and reason out for the welfare and interest of the people. He called upon his supporters not to develop social differences and division through politics in the village but informed them to maintain peace and advocate unity.
He said that Wokha village is a premier village and that his village people should set good examples.
He appreciated the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and NDPP Party president Chingwang Konyak, while he cleared the air of confusion in the party politics to his supporters, stating that the 21 legislators who joined the NDPP did so on commitment and assurance of ticket by the Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio.
Around a thousand supporters from Wokha Village attended the thanksgiving program organized by the Wokha Village supporters of Dr Chumben Murry. Short speeches were delivered from youths, women, party workers and supporters of Murry expressing unflinching support to their leader and conveying gratitude to Neiphiu Rio for posing faith in their leader, the press release said.
