Mokokchung, 24 April (MTNews): Ao Senden will be organizing the premier festival of Moatsü on 1-3 May, “a collective celebration initiated by the Government of Nagaland” with the theme “Celebrating our roots.”
The inaugural program of the festival will be held on 1 May at Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung with Tongpang Ozukum, Advisor, Waters Resources, Government of Nagaland as the special guest. The day will also feature a Mokokchung town inter-ward indigenous games competition.
Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Minister of RD and SIRD, Metsubo Jamir will be the special guest and guest of honour respectively on 2 May at Imkongmeren Sports Complex. An inter-range folk dance competition and Moatsü greetings by the Chakhesang Public Organization, Chang Khulie Setshang and Sumi Hoho will also feature on 2 May.
The Moatsü 2023 valedictory program will be held on 3 May at Aor Kilem, Mokokchung.
