The Ao Naga community in Bengaluru has celebrated Moatsü Benjongmong 2026 with vibrant cultural fervour and a strong spirit of unity at City Revival Center, Hennur Bande, on May 2.

The festival was organised by Ao Senso Telongjem Bangalore (ASTB) under the theme “Asen teradongbenjongtepdiaser Nükmen Razükdi,” highlighting unity, renewal and collective progress within the community.
A key highlight of the event was an address by the invited speaker, Rev. Dr. Along Jamir, who spoke on preserving cultural identity while embracing growth and shared responsibility in contemporary society.
The programme featured a series of cultural presentations, including traditional folk songs, dances and indigenous performances reflecting the rich heritage of the Ao community. The festivities were further enriched by customary feasting and active community participation.
The event began with an invocation, followed by a welcome address and greetings from community leaders. Special segments included cultural showcases and interactive community activities, culminating in a collective celebration of identity and tradition.
The gathering reaffirmed the community’s commitment to preserving its cultural roots while fostering unity among younger generations living away from their homeland.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and benediction.
