In what may be a record turnout for a blood donation camp organized by any social organization in Nagaland, 110 volunteers from various walks of life participated in a blood donation camp held today.
The event was organized by the Chakhroma Public Organization (CPO) in collaboration with Rev Zhaviu Khro Memorial Hospital, Chumoukedima, and Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research (CIHSR), Dimapur.
This camp was organized in commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the Chakhroma Public Organization, which will be celebrated in November this year. “The CPO extends its sincere gratitude to all donors, especially the Muslim Council Dimapur, Chumoukedima Town Muslim Union, Gorkha Union Chumoukedima, and all the Angami villages of the Chakhroma area for generously arranging volunteers to donate their precious blood,” Sebastian Zumvu, Secretary, Planning & Organizing Committee, CPO Sesquicentennial Anniversary said in a press release. This contribution will undoubtedly help many individuals in need of transfusions, he added.
He also thanked the management of Rev Zhaviu Khro Memorial Hospital, Chumoukedima, for arranging the logistics and ensuring the success of the program, as well as to CIHSR Dimapur for partnering in this noble endeavor and ensuring the healthy and safe conduct of the camp.
“We pray to the Almighty to grant good health to all participants and to bless them abundantly,” he added.
