In a minor road mishap Friday evening, a car collided with a stationary vehicle before plowing into a nearby gate of a private residence. The accident took place on the road leading to IOC near Milak junction at around 6:00 PM. Although no serious injuries were reported, the incident caused a brief disruption to the normal flow of traffic in the area.
According to eyewitnesses at the scene, the incident occurred when a Hyundai hatchback hit a stationary Maruti Alto and then veered off the road and crashed into the gate of a nearby private residence.
The cause of the mishap was unknown at the time of filing this report, but eyewitnesses suggested that it may have been a result of a momentary lapse in judgment by the driver.
The driver is reported to have been traveling alone at the time of the mishap.
