The Chakhesang Students’ Union (CSU) has announced its decision to organize a peaceful protest on May 10, starting at 9:00 AM, in response to the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) and the EPC contractor, M/s Ratna Infra Projects Pvt. Ltd.’s continued failure to address concerns raised by the Union.
In a statement, the CSU emphasized that, following the expiration of their ultimatum issued on 02/05/2025 via Reference No. CSU/PR/20/2024-2026/08, the Union had no other option but to take to the streets to peacefully express their deep dissatisfaction. The CSU has been vocal about persistent issues, but has faced “non-compliance and inaction” from both NHIDCL and the contractor, leading to frustration among the Union members and stakeholders.
The CSU is now calling on the general public and all concerned parties to support the protest, even if they are unable to be physically present. “The collective voice and solidarity of the people remain our greatest strength in holding those in authority accountable,” the statement reads.
The Union’s appeal is guided by a central belief: “Let the welfare of the people be the final law.”
