Mokokchung, June 18 (MTNews): Chakpa Student’s Union Mokokchung Town Unit under its motto, “Hard labour, Key to success,” conducted a one-day seminar on “Self-Exploration” at Penli Ward Community Hall, Mokokchung on Saturday.

 

In a brief formal program before the start of the seminar, a short exhortation was delivered by Lanutoshi Longkumer, President, Chakpa Senso Telongjem Mokokchung. He expressed gratitude to the students’ union for organizing the seminar stating that it was a need of the hour.

 

Longkumer also urged the students to refrain from using their cell phones excessively, comparing it to the use of drugs. He went on to suggest that books should always take precedence in a student’s life.

 

Longkumer also emphasised the necessity of preserving the Ao language, which he believes would become extinct if today’s youth chose to neglect their culture’s rich traditions.

 

Dr. Moakumla Longkumer, Asso. Professor, Allahabad Bible Seminary, spoke on ‘Self Discovery’ and ‘Self and the Bible’ during the three-part seminar, while Dr. Aotemshi, Asst. Professor, Fazl Ali College Mokokchung and proprietor, Straightway Hr. Sec School, spoke on ‘Self Confidence.’

 

The seminar attended by over 100 students was graced with God’s presence by Ayangla, Home Evangelist.
