Dimapur, February 12 (MTNews): Union Minister of State for Minority Affairs, John Barla called upon the Christian community of the country to unite together and let the nation know about their contribution.

Addressing the gathering during a program on “Holistic peace & progress” organized by the Nagaland Chapter of ‘National Christian Council’ at Youth Oasis Centre today in Dimapur, the minister said that the Christian community has contributed a lot towards nation building be it in the field of education, health or social welfare, but they have never received the respect they deserve.

 

The minister also informed that under Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram, 10 major infrastructure projects have been approved for the state during the financial year 2019-20 to 2021-22 with a total budget of 22,191.50 lakh rupees.

 

The approved projects are in Niuland district which include three hostels, two Residential schools, one Community Health Centre, one 200 bedded Hospital, one Primary Health Centre, one Community Service Centre and one working women hostel.
