Phek, 22 December (MTNews): The Golden Jubilee (1974–2024) celebration of the Christian Revival Church (CRC), Phek Village, culminated today.
Speaking at the Sunday morning service, Rev Senuto Ringa, General Secretary of NCRC, shared the word of God based on the jubilee theme, emphasizing its significance as a biblical milestone. Rev. Ringa reflected on the church’s 50-year journey, recalling God’s faithfulness over the years. He urged the congregation to introspect whether they still stand firm on the foundation laid by their forebears. Highlighting the essence of liberty in the spirit of jubilee, he encouraged believers to forgive one another in the name of the Lord, leave behind past struggles, and move forward with hope in Jesus Christ toward a brighter spiritual future.
MLA Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu, Leader of the NPF Legislature Party, who hosted the Golden Jubilee feast, extended his greetings to the congregation. Expressing his joy over God’s abundant love, Azo described the jubilee as a time for reconciliation between humanity and God. He exhorted believers to go beyond being lukewarm Christians, urging them to strive for deeper faith, transformation, and unconditional love. He also emphasized the church’s role in saving souls and fostering spiritual growth through the jubilee celebration.
As part of the celebration, Rev Z David Koza, Executive Secretary of CCCRC, released the Golden Jubilee Souvenir. The worship service was led by Veshe Chizo, with Bible reading by Surhotalu Soho. The offertory prayer was delivered by Sapi Puro, and special praise was presented by CYE CRC Phek Village and CYE PVBC. The Lord’s Supper, administered by Rev Vekhohu Dawhou, brought the congregation together in a solemn moment of reflection and unity.
At the evening worship service, Rev Dr Vevozo Khamo, National Coordinator of JHOPFAN, spoke on the topic “Envisioning the Promising Future.” He emphasized that the jubilee is a celebration for the children of God, marking the church’s maturity after 50 years of faithful service. Rev. Dr. Khamo stated that the year of jubilee symbolizes forgiveness, restoration, and liberty. Encouraging believers to prepare for the coming of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, he reminded them that they are living in a grace period and must receive the Holy Spirit.
Greetings were shared by Phek Village Council Chairman Chivozo Soho. The program was led by Kuzhohii Soho, with a Bible reading by K Dikha Sono, Chairman of CCRC Pfutsero Sub-Division Sub-Council. A special song was presented by CYE CRC Phek Village, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Ozo Venuh.
