Mokokchung, October 7 (MTNews): A Seminar cum Training was held on 7th October, 2022 at IDSP Conference Hall DHFW which was organized by National Oral Health Program for Dental Surgeon under State, NHM & NOHP.
Dr. K Vikato Kinimi graced the program as Chief Guest who in his speech appreciated the Dental Doctors coming from near and far and for giving importance to the noble profession. Additionally, he mentioned that Dental is equally an important aspect of Health just as the rest of practices are important.
In the event, Dr. N Moa Jamir, Sr. Dental Surgeon DH Kiphire was awarded in recognition of his sincere service beyond the call of duty. The Department also decided to award him the Principal Director Commendation Certificate for the year 2021-2022.
Dr. Sabino Kuotso, Sr. Dental Surgeon DH Peren was also awarded in acknowledgement of her achievement for being the First Female Dental Surgeon of Nagaland.
The inaugural function of the mentioned seminar cum training was chaired by Dr. Meribeni Odyuo Jt. Director, Dental & SPO (NOHP).
The topics covered under the program included: Medical Emergencies in Dental OPD, Oral Cancer Screening, and Orthodontics: an overview & Management of Childhood Dental Diseases.
The resource persons were Dr. Nichukholie Vupru, Sr. Dental Surgeon, DH Phek MDS (Orthodontics); Dr. Sentirenla R Jamir, Jr. Dental Surgeon, IMDH Mokokchung MDS (Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery); Dr. Keneisenuo Kire, Dental Surgeon, 32 Dental Clinic Kohima MDS (Orthodontics); Dr. Imyangluba Dental Surgeon, Advance Dental Clinic Kohima MDS (Pedodontics).
