The monthly meeting of the DPDB Phek was held at the DC’s Conference Hall, Phek, on May 14 where members deliberated on issues relating to the ongoing construction of the Kohima-Jessami NH-29 two-lane road under Packages II and V.

Representatives of the construction firm, M/S Kaushal Sharma in joint venture with M/S Prachi Infra & Roads Pvt. Ltd., were present during the meeting.
Kudecho Khamo, who is also Chairman of DPDB Phek, and Kuzholuzo Azo Nienu expressed concern over the delay in completion of the road stretches under Packages II and V.
Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman of DPDB Phek, Rhosietho, NCS, and Superintendent of Police Phek, Dr Kaur, IPS, also stressed the need for early completion of the projects.
The House directed the construction company to immediately resume the remaining works and complete the road within the current year. The Board also cautioned the construction company and officials of National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited that further delays would not be viewed leniently.
The meeting also reviewed the HSLC and HSSLC Examination 2026 results of government schools and higher secondary schools in Phek district. The House, led by Kudecho Khamo, congratulated three government high schools and one government higher secondary school for securing a 100 percent pass percentage in the examinations.
The Board also welcomed newly posted officers and DPDB members, including Zapuno Khatso, ADC Chozuba; Seliya Tep, Assistant Sericulture Officer; and Kelhouzakie Chielie, District Horticulture Officer.
