The NPF Central Farmers Wing conducted an Appreciative Enquiry Tour in Mokokchung and Zunheboto districts on May 13 and 14, holding consultations with party functionaries and agricultural experts on farmers’ welfare, sustainable agriculture, and rural development.

As part of the tour, a consultative meeting was held at the Conference Hall of the NPF Mokokchung Division on May 14. The programme began with an address by Repamangyang, President of the Farmers Wing, Mokokchung Division, who highlighted unity, cooperation, and the role of farmers.
The central delegation, led by Dr Mangyangpula, in-charge of the Mokokchung Division Farmers Wing, deliberated on farmers’ welfare and development, stressing the need to strengthen the sector and encourage grassroots participation.
Addressing the gathering, Repameren Yaden, President of the NPF Mokokchung Division, urged members to remain committed to farmers’ welfare and party principles. The programme concluded with distribution of seeds and saplings.
Earlier on May 13, the delegation visited the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Nagaland University, Zunheboto as part of the state-wide tour led by Vikheho Swu, aimed at understanding agricultural practices and farmers’ challenges.

The KVK team, led by Dr Rakesh Kumar Chaurasia, briefed the delegation on activities, demonstrations, and technologies promoted in the district.
An interactive session covered improved paddy varieties, orange rejuvenation, fall armyworm management, poultry and piggery development, and the impact of jhum cultivation. The need for breeding farms and quality seed supply was highlighted.
The visit concluded with a tour of the KVK demonstration farm showcasing ongoing agricultural technologies.
