According to a DIPR report, Deputy Commissioner Peren, Vineet Kumar, while sharing the concept note of the Entrepreneur’s Club, asserted that the youth today face several challenges and the most critical is the lack of job opportunities and the issue of unemployment. He also stated the jobs in the Government sector are saturated while in the private sector, the jobs are limited and require specific skill sets.

He said there seems to be a low desire to take up entrepreneurship among the youth and this may be due to several factors such as low risk-taking traits, and a lack of right mindset for running an enterprise among others. “This may be attributed to a lack of exposure during formative years, a lack of practical experience, and the absence of a culture of entrepreneurship,” he observed. “Entrepreneur’s Club is therefore envisaged to overcome some of the challenges being faced by the entrepreneurs in the district,” he added.

He also said that the vision of the club is to create a culture of entrepreneurship in the district and the idea of launching the club was to strengthen and grow the existing entrepreneurs so that others can also get inspiration from them.

Speaking on the role of the club, he said it would work as a platform to exchange ideas, share experiences and learning, promote new entrepreneurs, and provide support. Further, he hoped that the Entrepreneur’s Club Peren will traverse the path creating a roadmap for hundreds of youth.

The discussion started with each entrepreneur sharing their entrepreneurial journey and the challenges faced in the process of setting up their businesses. The officers present also highlighted the different services available under Govt. Flagship programs that provide a platform to promote entrepreneurs.

The Club will have successful entrepreneurs, aspiring entrepreneurs, and officers of various departments as members.
The launching programme was chaired by EAC Hq. Peren, Kevethito Rose.

  1. Hey just wanted to give you a quick heads up and let you know a few of the images aren’t loading correctly. I’m not sure why but I think its a linking issue. I’ve tried it in two different browsers and both show the same results.

  2. I do consider all the ideas you have presented on your post. They are very convincing and will definitely work. Still, the posts are too brief for novices. May you please extend them a bit from next time? Thank you for the post.
