Kohima, 2 May (MTNews): A Hand Holding Program on New Accreditation Framework for Principals and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) Coordinators of Non-Accredited Colleges was held on 2 May at the conference hall of the Directorate of Higher Education with Temjen Imna Along, Minister, Higher Education & Tourism, Nagaland.

 

 

The Minister urged all the government and private colleges to complement each other to develop the colleges by sharing their best views and ideas. On decision-making of Government colleges and private colleges, he said Government colleges take time while private colleges have advantages as they quickly make decisions for the welfare of the colleges. He also urged all the non-accredited colleges to be NAAC accredited and provide quality education so that students not only from the state but mainland India can also come and avail education from the state.

 

The program was chaired by Dr K Hukato Swu, Deputy Director, Higher Education. Keynote address by Dr Sujata P Shanbhag, Adviser (NAAC) Nagarbhavi, Bangalore.
