A National Integration Camp for NSS (National Service Scheme) volunteers from various colleges and universities across the country was successfully conducted from January 21 to 27, 2025, at Assam Agricultural University (AAU), Jorhat. The camp, which was organized by the NSS Cell at AAU Jorhat and the Regional Directorate of NSS, Guwahati, was held under the theme “Youth for My Bharat.”
The event saw the participation of over 200 NSS volunteers and Program Officers from 16 states, including Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Odisha, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal.
Representing the state of Nagaland, ten student volunteers from Fazl Ali College (FAC), Mokokchung, attended the camp. They were led by Dr L Imlinichet Imchen, Program Officer and Assistant Professor at FAC.
The camp included a variety of activities, such as cultural presentations from all the participating states. It also featured several technical sessions, including discussions on the role of NSS volunteers in entrepreneurship development, hands-on training on disaster preparedness, fashion and national integration, the role of financial institutions in national integration, and life skills education. In addition, there were competitions in cultural presentations, speech, and art & rangoli.
