Mokokchung, 15 April (MTNews): With the aim of instilling confidence among the voters for the conduct of ‘free and fair’ polls, a flag march was organized by the Mokokchung Police Department and the District Administration on 15 April. The march started from Chuchuyimpang Village Gate to Imkongmeren Sports Complex.

Vesupra Kezo, NPS, Superintendent of Police, Mokokchung, urged for cooperation and communication between the security forces, adding that it will be the “main tools in having a successful conduct of free and fair polls.” He also encouraged the security personnel to “maintain law and order and abide by the law.”

Assistant Commissioner, Mokokchung, Ajit Kumar, IAS, urged the security forces to respect the Naga customary law and maintain a good relationship with the people. Kumar also viewed that the success of the election will be achieved only through cooperation.

The march was led by the Superintendent of Police, Mokokchung, and representatives from the district administration. Combined forces from 594/A CISF, G/111 BSF, E/11 NAP (IR), and B/D/E coys of 2 NAP along with officers and personnel of PS-I, PS-II, and W/PS also took part in the flag march.
