Mokokchung, 21 April (MTNews): As a part of the NBSE curriculum on the elective subject of Vocational Education, ITeS (Information Technology enabled Services), 27 students of classes 9 and 10 from Government High School Mangmetong in Mokokchung district, along with two of their teachers, visited NIELIT, Chuchuyimlang, on 21 April.
A faculty of the institute, Tongpangkumzuk gave a tour of the institute and explained about different courses offered there as well as the workings and functionality of different labs and smart classrooms. He also took time to encourage the students to take up short term courses offered at the institute after they appear and await their matriculation examination results.
A bonus detour for the students of the school ended up visiting the Gandhi Ashram and getting a tour and history of its facilities as well as interacting with Padma Shree awardee Lentina Ao Thakkar who encouraged the students to follow the Gandhian way of life.
