The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Polan John, heads of departments and board members. Several issues relating to education, infrastructure and administration were discussed.

During the meeting, Zhaleo Rio called on all concerned departments and stakeholders to remain prepared for the upcoming monsoon season. He stressed the need to clear and maintain drainage systems to prevent waterlogging and flooding and urged authorities to take preventive measures in vulnerable areas.

He also directed that awareness on monsoon preparedness be disseminated to colonies, wards and villages and emphasised coordination among departments for effective response mechanisms.

On developmental planning, Rio stressed that development initiatives should cover the entire district and not remain concentrated in one area. Referring to the railway station at Sukhovi, he said strategic and organised planning must begin now to prepare for future growth.

He further directed the Police Department to strictly enforce speed limits and strengthen road safety measures, particularly in accident-prone and crowded areas.

Among the agendas discussed were recognition of Cinnamon Pre-School at Ward-II, Chümoukedima, registration of Yimkhiung Baptist Borü-Naga United Village, and proposals for upgradation of several schools in the district.

The board also discussed proposals for establishment of a Government Degree College at Medziphema and a District Transport Office for Chümoukedima district.

A PowerPoint presentation was delivered by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Chümoukedima, while another presentation was made by the Department of Sericulture.
