Governor La Ganesan visited the Border Roads Task Force (BRTF) Camp in Dimapur, where he e-inaugurated the Kohima-Pedi-Peren road, an important infrastructure project completed by Project Sewak. The inauguration was part of a larger event led by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who officially inaugurated 75 infrastructure projects of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO).
Speaking during the e-inauguration, Governor Ganesan expressed his honor in participating in the event, which marked the inauguration of 75 critical infrastructure projects across the country, including in Nagaland. “These endeavors are a testament to our commitment to strengthening the backbone of our nation’s defense and enhancing connectivity, which is crucial for progress and security,” he said.
The Governor extended his gratitude to Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh for spearheading the initiative and thanked BRTF officials for the successful completion of the Kohima-Pedi-Peren Road. He highlighted the road’s importance in boosting regional economic growth and improving accessibility, noting that it would benefit local commerce while supporting strategic military operations.
A press update from the PRO Raj Bhavan emphasized the significance of the new road and other infrastructure projects in the region, contributing to local development and connectivity.
During his visit, the Governor toured various facilities at the BRTF Camp, including family quarters, the dental unit, and the auditorium, praising the dedication of the workforce. He also attended a ceremony recognizing the achievements of meritorious children of Casual Paid Labourers of the BRTF, where he commended the values of hard work and resilience demonstrated by their parents.
