A house was completely destroyed in a fire that broke out in Ungma Village at around 11:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 27.
Fire tenders from both the Fire Station South and Fire Station North, Mokokchung, and the locals responded to the emergency, preventing the blaze from spreading further. According to the fire officials, the house, constructed with half-wall and wooden materials, was engulfed by the flames before firefighters managed to contain the situation.
The cause of the fire remains unknown at the time of reporting. No casualties were reported.
Following the incident, the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Mokokchung District Branch, visited the affected family and provided essential relief supplies.
