Kohima, 06 April (MTNews): The Nagaland Board of School Education in a circular dated 06 April informed that India’s International Movement to Unite Nations (IIMUN) is hosting a state level conference of Nagaland in Kohima at G Rio School from 25 – 27 May.
IIMUN has been the world’s largest education conference brand, having organized the world’s Largest MUN simulation in Mumbai among many other simulations. It was also the first organization to conduct multiple MUN conferences inside the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
IIMUN was founded by Rishabh Shah in 2011/12. Its vision is to unite the world by spreading the idea of India via debates, dialogues and conferences, enabling tomorrow’s leaders to learn about India.
It has an overall team of 26,000 students aged 16-22 impacting 5 crore students aged 15-19 via concourses in 220 cities and 35 countries by putting together 3-4 day concourses first at a school level in 7500 institutes, followed by the winners congregating in 220 cities and 35 countries which culminates with a finale in Mumbai/UN Headquarter – New York, a DIPR report said.
Currently there is a team of 6000 odd active student volunteers who help organize these 3-4 day events in schools.
In this regard, schools have been informed to note the circular of invitation of the IIMUN Nagaland Concourse and students encouraged to participate.
