Mokokchung, 18 April (MTNews): Impact Club will be organizing its 1st Open Penalty Shootout Tournament at the Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima on Saturday, 22 April from 09:00 am onwards. The registration fee is Rs.3000/- per team and is open to any groups that would like to participate. One of the highlights of this tournament is the prize money of Rs 60,000 for the winning team and Rs 30,000 for the runners-up. The best goal keeper will also pocket Rs 5000.

“So far this is reported to be the highest prize money for a Penalty Shootout Tournament that has been organized in the state. The tournament will be held at the IG Stadium which is the best Astro turf ground in the State and the participants will get to experience a spectacular competition in an international standard ground,” the organizers said.

A press release from the organisers conveyed that this tournament has been organized to encourage youngsters to participate in positive and productive events where they can also sharpen their skills and develop competitive spirit of sportsmanship and at the same time earn good money.

Impact Club comprises of a group of like-minded friends from different professions and callings, who had come together with a vision and purpose of bringing positive change to society and community through meaningful events and endeavours. One area of concern is to reach out to the remote areas of the state and impact lives through means of sports, education and support.
